【摘要】:Thepresenceandconcentrationofsulfurandvariousmetallicelementsinapetroleumcokearemajorfactorsdeterminingthesuitabilityofacokeforvariouspurposes.Thistestmethodprovidesrapidmeansformeasuringsulfurandcommerciallyimportantmetallicelementsincokesamples.Thistestmethodprovidesaguidefordeterminingconformancetomaterialspecificationsforusebybuyersandsellersinacommercialtransferofpetroleumcoke.Sulfurcontentscanbeusedtoevaluatethepotentialformationofsulfuroxides(SOx),asourceofatmosphericpollution.1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheX-rayfluorescencespectrometricdeterminationoftotalsulfurandtracemetalsinsamplesofraworcalcinedpetroleumcoke.ElementsdeterminedusingthistestmethodarelistedinTable1.1.2Detectionlimits,sensitivity,andoptimalelementrangeswillvarywithmatrices,spectrometertype,analyzingcrystal,andotherinstrumentconditionsandparameters.1.3Allanalytesaredeterminedastheelementandreportedassuch.TheseincludeallelementslistedinTable1.Thistestmethodmaybeapplicabletoadditionalelementsorconcentrationrangesifsufficientstandardsareavailabletoproducepropercalibrationequations.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
